What receiver models are there?

Shaw Direct currently offers 2 receiver models.  The new HDDSR800 HD receiver and the HDPVR830 Personal Video Recorder.  The HDSR600 and the HDPVR630 have been discontinued since summer 2017.

What signal input does the shaw HDDSR800 require?

The Shaw Direct HDDSR800 requires a single coax from the dish or appropriate switch.

What signal input does the Shaw Direct HDPVR830 require?

The Shaw Direct HDPVR830 requires two coax cables from the LNB or appropriate switch.

Do I need to run two coaxial cables to my PVR?

Yes. Your PVR will not function properly if a single coax is split.
